Wedding Catering Highlights Summer 2022-2023

Your wedding is one of the most memorable days of your life - and one of the key elements that ensures a great day for both you and your guests is tasty food. At the end of each summer we like to reflect on the weddings that were. Join us to explore the wedding catering provided by Fed by Jed at various beautiful locations during the summer of 2022-2023.

TESSA & BARCLAY - HARVEST MOON

Tessa and Barclay tied the knot at Harvest Moon, a rustic, rural property on the Bellarine Peninsula. The location offered a gorgeous farmhouse for the event. During the afternoon a large grazing table was provided, filled to the brim with all the favourites - bread and dips, meats and cheeses, fruit, charcuterie and more.

The 100 guests then enjoyed finger food throughout the evening. Our two wait staff served an assortment of tasty finger food including Grilled Veggie Stacks, Southern Style Fried Chicken Strips, Mini Greek Lamb Pitas and Sweet Chilli Bao Buns.

Part of the catering for Tessa and Barclay’s wedding was ensuring there was enough options to meet the dietary requirements of the guests - which included nut and seafood allergies plus vegan and vegetarian guests. We were able to achieve this through careful planning and providing a mixture of meat and meat-free finger food options and a variety of food throughout the grazing table and specific finger food selection.


BRENT & GRANT - THE HEIGHTS GEELONG

Brent and Grant provided their guests a grazing table followed by a traditional sit-down meal during their wedding at The Heights Heritage House and Garden. The Heights Geelong is a National Trust property offering many mid-nineteenth century charms. It is a gorgeous weatherboard heritage property featuring original stables, a bluestone cottage, water tower plus manicured gardens.

Throughout the reception the fifty guests attending Brent and Grant’s wedding nibbled from the grazing table. Guests were then served a three-course meal beginning with either a Prawn Cocktail or Finger Food Medley for entree. A main meal of Roast and Vegetables followed. The meal was completed with a dessert of either Caramel Cheesecake or Eton Mess.


DARIENNE & SHAWN - BELLBRAE HARVEST

Darienne and Shawn were married at Bellbrae Harvest - a country property located on the Surfcoast. Packed with rustic charm, the location offered a casual country atmosphere for the 75 guests to enjoy finger food throughout the reception. 

The guests dined on a curated selection of hot finger food including Pulled Pork Dinner Rolls, Mini Spring Rolls, Mini BBQ Chicken Sliders and Homemade Sausage Rolls. Part of the catering involved ensuring there were enough dishes for vegetarian guests. As such, the selection also included Mini Roast Vegetable Sliders and Mini Sweet Potato & Halloumi Fritters. 


KADE & CATIE - CORAGULAC HOUSE

Kade and Catie got married at Coragulac House - a historic bluestone homestead situated in Colac. The rustic, yet elegant location offers a popular setting for weddings and provides a unique atmosphere for both the reception and ceremony. During Kade and Catie’s ceremony we catered an abundant grazing table paired with a selection of hot finger food. 

The wedding grazing table was filled with fresh bread and crackers, dips, cheese, fruit, charcuterie and more. The finger food selection included options designed to meet the taste of each attending guest. A snapshot of the options provided includes Chicken Satay Skewers with Peanut Sauce, Crispy Roasties paired with Gravy Dip, Calamari Strips served with Sweet Chilli Mayo and Chicken Parmi Sliders. 


BONNIE & HAMISH - PRIVATE PROPERTY

Bonnie and Hamish tied the knot on a private property in Bannockburn. As a local business, we always enjoy being able to provide the option of catering within our customers private settings. Throughout Bonnie and Hamish’s ceremony, the team from Fed by Jed served a vast variety of hot finger foods. Two waiters were employed to walk amongst the guests and offer the tasty bite-sized morsels throughout the evening.

The curated offering of finger food was designed to satisfy all guests and keep them celebrating throughout the evening. Amongst the selection was Homemade Sausage Rolls, Southern Style Fried Chicken Strips, BLT Sliders, Mini Spring Rolls and Chicken Parmi Balls. The catering also took in to consideration vegetarian and gluten free guests. Vegetarian options included Crispy Mushroom Arancini Balls, Spinach & Ricotta Pastries, Mini Quiches and Zucchini Slice (also gluten free). In addition, the gluten free selection included Roast Beef & Vegetable Rolls and Thai Fish Cakes.


BRIANNA & MATT - BELLBRAE HARVEST

Brianna and Matt celebrated their wedding day at Bellbrae Harvest - a boutique rural property on the Surfcoast. Bellbrae Harvest offered a rustic, country location with a view for Brianna and Matt’s wedding. They chose to cater their wedding with a gorgeous grazing table filled with charcuterie, bread, dips, cheeses, fruit and more. The grazing table also included an allocated gluten free biscuit section plus a designated vegan graze plate. The guests were encouraged to nibble from the grazing table selection after the ceremony ended. 

The grazing table was accompanied by a curated selection of finger food offered at key times throughout the evening. Options were designed to cater for vegetarian, vegan and coeliac guests. Taking in to consideration guest allergens is always a priority while catering - so our team made sure to serve these meal options with care. 

Two waiters circulated the finger food amongst guests. The mix of traditional and modern finger food options included Italian Lamb Meatball bites (GF), Mini Bruschetta, Roasted Vegetable Frittata (V & GF), Cheeseburger Sliders, Homemade Sausage Rolls and Mini Sweet Potato & Halloumi fritters (V & GF).
