Home Delivery FAQ

  • Orders for the home delivered menu can be made online with our ordering system at Cookaborough.

    If you require some assistance to place your order, and would prefer to do it over the phone, that is also an option. Phone orders are accepted exclusively on Mondays between 12pm-4pm on 0440 138 481. Please note phone orders will not be processed outside of these hours. Payment for your contribution share of the order will be collected during the call; kindly have your credit card ready.

  • Please visit the Fed by Jed online order form.

    You will need to have an account setup with Cookaborough (the online ordering platform). You can do that here. Select the menu you would like to order from - we generally have four weeks of menus available at a time. Choose the meals you would like to order and then process your payment to secure your order.

  • Please call 0440 138 481 to place an online delivery order.

  • All Home Delivered orders need to be placed by midnight Monday one week prior to delivery.

    When ordering online, if you like to plan ahead, we always have four weeks of menus open for orders.

  • You are welcome to place orders of any size. However, please note that a minimum order value of $45 applies.

  • At Fed by Jed we offer flat rate delivery no matter how many meals you order or where you live. Once you have met the minimum order requirement the delivery fee is set at a flat rate of $6, no matter the location within our delivery network.

  • The four-coloured menus offer a quick reference guide to our rotating menu schedule. The menus rotate in the order of green, red, blue and yellow. The cycle then begins again with green.

  • At Fed by Jed we have created four distinct menus that rotate weekly. This ensures you are never restricted by choice.

    In order to know which menu will be delivered each week we have created a handy calendar for your reference. View the calendar online here. Additionally, you can also download a print friendly version of the calendar suitable to stick on the fridge for easy reference.

  • No, unfortunately we are not able to deliver meals from multiple coloured weeks in a single delivery. Ordering from a non-delivery week's menu is not feasible due to the menu cycle. We prepare all meals to order and are limited by space, therefore can not hold meals to be delivered at a later stage.

    By providing a rotating menu we are able to offer a diverse range of meals to our customers throughout the month.

  • Fed by Jed are proud to offer an extensive delivery network.

    This includes Anakie, Armstrong Creek, Bannockburn, Bell Park, Bell Post Hill, Belmont, Breakwater, Buckley, Corio, East Geelong, Geelong, Gherang, Gheringhap, Gheringhap, Gnarwarre, Grovedale, Hamlyn Heights, Herne Hill, Highton, Inverleigh, Lara, Lethbridge, Lovely Banks, Manifold Heights, Marshall, Maude, Meredith, Modewarre, Mt Duneed, Mt Moriac, Newcomb, Newtown, Norlane, North Geelong, North Shore, Shelford, St Albans Park, Teesdale, Wandana Heights, Warralily, Waurn Ponds, Whittington, Winchelsea and Windsor Park.

  • Yes we may still be able to deliver meals to you. For other areas not listed please contact us to find out.

    Unfortunately, we are not able to deliver to the Bellarine Peninsula and Leopold at this point in time.

  • If you live in Anakie, Bannockburn (Bannockburn has both Monday and Tuesday delivery - get in touch if you would like to know which day delivery will be for your address), Batesford, Bell Park, Bell Post Hill, Breakwater, Corio, Gheringhap, Hamlyn Heights, Herne Hill, Highton, Lara, Lethbridge, Lovely Banks, Manifold Heights, Maude, Meredith, Newtown, Norlane, North Geelong, North Shore, St Albans Park, Whittington and Windsor Park - your Home Delivered Frozen Menu meals will be delivered between 7am-2pm on a Monday.

    For those that live in Armstrong Creek, Bannockburn (Bannockburn has both Monday and Tuesday delivery - get in touch if you would like to know which day delivery will be for your address), Belmont, Buckley, East Geelong, Geelong, Gherang, Gheringhap, Gnarwarre, Grovedale, Highton, Inverleigh, Marshall, Modewarre, Mt Duneed, Mt Moriac, Newcomb, Newtown, Shelford, Teesdale, Wandana Heights, Warralily, Waurn Ponds, Whittington and Winchelsea, - meals are delivered each Tuesday between 7am-2pm.

  • We are currently unable to accept specific delivery time requests. Deliveries start at 7am on the scheduled delivery day and continue throughout the morning and early afternoon (where necessary).

  • No sorry. Due to other catering commitments and staff scheduling - all frozen meal deliveries can only occur on our scheduled days.

  • When ordering online, the first step is creating an account. This will include your name, contact number, email address and delivery address. When placing your order please include in the notes area any food allergens we should know about and any delivery instructions.

  • For those ordering online, payment is made at the time of ordering.

    If you place your order over the phone we will ask you to provide your credit card details for payment while ordering. 

  • All Fed by Jed meals are cooked fresh with quality ingredients then frozen ready for delivery. To ensure a long life for delivered meals and the freshest flavour - they are then delivered frozen ready to heat at your convenience.

  • The meals are delivered to your door and supplied in cooler bags to ensure they remain frozen.

    For any repeat customers we request that these bags are returned to Fed by Jed for our future use. A failure to return multiple bags will incur a fee. We thank you for your understanding.

  • All meals are delivered frozen and should be placed in your freezer as soon as possible. It is important not to allow the meals to thaw and then re-freeze them. Meals can be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months.

  • Many of our meals can be heated in the container they are supplied in. Some are best heated in an oven while others can be heated in the microwave.

  • You sure can! Visit our online order page and open the relevant weeks coloured menu. Click on the image of the meal you are interested in. This will show all the meals ingredients, plus any allergens.

    Please note, that while some meals do not contain allergens, all meals are prepared in a kitchen with allergens. Such as nuts and gluten. 

  • Each meal includes a detailed list of ingredients and highlights any potential allergens. You can view the complete list of ingredients and allergens for each menu item by clicking on its image. Additionally, all ingredients and allergens will be listed on the label when the meal is delivered. Please note that while specific allergens may not be highlighted in some meals, our kitchen is not entirely free from allergens.

  • We are unable to offer customisations for any of our meals.

  • Yes, we have a shop front at our kitchen in Bannockburn. We are located at 2 / 9-11 Burns St, Bannockburn. We always have a selection of ready-made meals available for purchase. We can not guarantee specific meals will be in stock – if there is something you want, we recommend ordering online. It is not possible to pre-order and pick up meals.

    If you are an NDIS or HCP customer, any meals purchased in store will need to be fully paid for. Funding contributions can not be applied in store. We recommend ordering online if you wish to utilise your funding.

  • You sure can! NDIS guidelines allow some participants to access meal preparation funding. While ingredient costs are ineligible, 70% of meal costs plus the delivery fee can be claimed back.

    How It Works:

    • Plan Managed: Our cooks charge 30% upfront and handle the administration with your Plan Manager.

    • Self Managed: You receive an NDIS approved invoice to claim back 70% via your online portal.

    This streamlined process ensures that you can easily access and benefit from our meal preparation services.

  • You sure can! To begin ordering meals we will need a referral from your care provider. Once we have created an account for you, you can begin ordering meals straight away.

    We charge 30% of the meal cost upfront. Then, we handle the administration and follow up with your Care/Plan Manager.

  • Certainly. You may visit the 'Vouchers' section of our online shop. From here select the denomination you prefer. Pre-filled amounts of $50, $100, $200 and $400 or you can select a customisable amount. Upon purchase, you will receive the voucher via email. Please note that these vouchers can only be used for ordering home delivered meals.

    If you would prefer a voucher to use in the shop - please stop by to purchase one, or email us, to arrange a shop voucher.

Fed by Jed Shop FAQ

  • The Fed by Jed shop is located at Shop 2 9-11 Burns St, Bannockburn 3331.

  • The current plan for the Fed by Jed shop is to open Wednesday 8-5pm, Thursday 8-5pm and Friday mornings 8-12pm. 

    These hours may change - please keep an eye on our social media in case of any updates.

  • No, sorry the shop is not a cafe. The main purpose of the space is to offer our team a large commercial kitchen to prepare all the ready-made meals and prepare for catering events, while also providing a small shop front.

    While we are not a cafe, we do have fresh meals available for sale from our fridge. Many locals like to purchase these for takeaway lunch or dinner. We also offer a hot lunch option each Wednesday. Keep an eye on Instagram or Facebook to see what is available this week.

  • Unfortunately due to space constraints we are unable to offer pick ups of weekly meal orders from the shop. 

    A range of frozen meals from the rotating menu will be available during opening hours if you would like to drop in and purchase something from our stocked freezer.

  • Fed by Jed hot lunch is available each Wednesday until sold out.

  • The Fed by Jed ready made frozen meals will be stocked each week - come in any time during our opening hours to pick some up.

    Most Wednesdays we have a fresh and hot lunch available for purchase until sold out. Please check our Facebook or Instagram account to see what is available on the day.

    Additionally, we generally cook different fresh meals for sale each Thursday afternoon and Friday morning available from our fridge section. These fresh meals vary week-to-week, with limited quantities available of each meal. Each week we post stories on Facebook and Instagram  - so keep an eye out for what is available. It’s first in best dressed - sorry.

    One of the most popular options is a family sized meat or vegetarian lasagne. Get in quick to grab yours! 

  • Certainly. Please visit us to purchase s shop gift voucher. You can also email us, to arrange a shop voucher. Please note that vouchers bought in the shop can only be used for meals purchased in the shop.

    If you would prefer to gift a voucher for home delivered meals, please visit the 'Vouchers' section of our online shop. From here select the denomination you prefer. Pre-filled amounts of $50, $100, $200 and $400 or you can select a customisable amount. Upon purchase, you will receive the voucher via email. 

Catering FAQ

  • Yes, due to staff availability we are not able to offer catering services for events smaller than 80 people.

  • Cost per head is for food only. The pp is applied to the number of guests you will have at your event. An additional staff costing will apply (see below).

    All pricing listed excludes GST - GST will be added when quoting / invoicing.

  • The Fed by Jed team will come out to your home/business/kitchen and heat up, plate up and clean up after your event. Please note however that hot food drop-off depends on location.

  • A minimum of two staff are required to cater any event. Staff cost is $50 per hour ($75 on weekends) for a minimum of three hours (dependant on the event and catering requirements). The two staff are essential to heat, serve and clean up your event. We do not offer pickup of items requiring plating, ie sliders, tacos, bao buns. 

    If you also require wait staff, they are available at $50 per hour ($75 on weekends). The average finger food function usually requires two staff for 3-4 hours to walk the food around.

    Event location may also incur a travel fee. 

  • Please note that GST must be charged for jobs and is not included on the price list. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Requests for anything not included in the catering menu are welcome. We can work with you to ensure catering is tailored to suit your event and budget. Contact us to discuss what you’re thinking.

  • Prices may vary depending on requests for quantities or items not listed in the catering menu. All requests or suggestions welcome. Prices are also subject to change without notice but we always do our best to keep our prices up-to-date.

  • We don’t own plates/cutlery but we can rent them for your event.

    Additionally, boxes, napkins, plates etc are not included in the listed prices and will not be automatically provided. We are happy to arrange the purchase of these for your function at cost price. If you require any of these for your event please ask for more details.
