Wedding catering provides your guests with the fuel required to celebrate throughout the day and night. Food brings everyone together and allows wedding guests to enjoy the day to the full extent. Let’s be honest, there is nothing worse than leaving a wedding and having to do a Macca’s run because the food wasn’t up to par. Fed by Jed offers quality dishes prepared using locally sourced ingredients.

To celebrate the season that was - let’s take a look back at some wedding highlights from the summer of 2021-2022.

SUE & MICK - ROCKLEA FARM

After numerous COVID setbacks causing wedding delays, it was finally time for the lovely Sue and Mick to celebrate their love. The wedding took place at Rocklea Farm in Stonehaven - a picturesque rural location that offers luxury barn style weddings.

Sue and Mick chose to cater their wedding with a gorgeous grazing table filled with everything one would expect. The 100 guests could nibble at their leisure from the grazing table throughout the reception. This was accompanied by a curated selection of finger food designed to keep the guests full and dancing throughout the evening.

In addition, Sue and Mick opted to have their post wedding brunch catered. Fed by Jed provided an array of hangover friendly food for the day after the wedding. The wedding recovery food was served at their own home for the guests to enjoy as they bounced back from the festivities of the night before.

SAM & SHANE - ROCKLEA FARM

Sam and Shane opted for a roast inspired buffet at their Rocklea Farm wedding. The rustic barn setting offered the perfect backdrop for a selection of roast chicken, beef and pork. The roast meat was accompanied by an assortment of traditional roast vegetables, summer-friendly salads, rolls, sides and condiments. All listed with allogen information to ensure dietary requirements were catered for.

Serving the food in this fashion provided a modern twist on the traditional sit-down wedding. Offering guests an easy to serve main meal of hardy options. The roast buffet is a great choice for a summer wedding as it allows guests to serve themselves and take the food that suites their taste and hunger level. 125 guests were catered for using the roast buffet at Sam and Shane’s wedding.

Additionally a fantastic marque offered the perfect location for Sam and Shane to provide an eye-catching grazing table filled with cheeses, dips, charcuterie, crusty bread, fruit and more. The grazing table was available throughout the reception.

This was complimented by a selection of finger food at key times. Options including goats cheese bruschetta, sweet chilli chicken bao buns, mini BLT sliders and satay skewers were served. Sam and Shane’s choice to provide bite-sized finger food allowed their guests to enjoy an array of flavours while continuing to mingle amongst themselves throughout the wedding reception.

Fed by Jed provided a gluten free raspberry pistachio cake for dessert.

LUCY & TROY - CORAGULAC HOUSE

Lucy and Troy tied the knot at Coragulac House in Colac. Coragulac House is a gorgeous historic bluestone homestead offering an elegant and rustic vibe for both wedding receptions and the ceremonies that follow.

The brick walls and exposed rafters of Coragulac House offered a gorgeous rustic backdrop for Lucy and Troy’s ceremony and reception. With a wall decked out in fairy lights, the couple’s catering of a large grazing table was a welcome centrepiece. The wedding grazing table was filled with crusty breads, dips, fruit, crackers, cheese, charcuterie and more! Gorgeously filled to the brim with tasty treats and finished with decorative olive branches.

Following the grazing table, the hundred guests were served a selection of finger food throughout the evening.

Coragulac House’s bluestone interior was the perfect setting for a collection of traditional and modern finger foods including sausage rolls, sliders, salmon blineys, and mixed bruschetta; including both vegetarian and a meat version with prosciutto.

CLINTON & HANNAH - ROCKLEA FARM

Clinton and Hannah selected to have a traditional sit-down meal during their wedding at Rocklea Farm. Throughout the reception the 120 guests were served a three-course meal beginning with prawn cocktails for entree. A main meal of roast meat and vegetables followed. Finally, the sit-down meal was complimented by sticky date pudding and ice-cream for dessert.
