Funding options for home delivered meals

Fed by Jed are proud to offer four colour-coded rotating menus of home delivered meals. Each meal is prepared locally by chef Jordi and partner Ella using locally sourced ingredients. The meals consist of homely, comforting meals. Family recipes, and meals learnt over 10+ years of hospitality experience, are prepared by Jordi with care and passion. Home-made in a commercial kitchen and frozen fresh to ensure the flavour is contained and ready to be heated at the customers convenience.

The home delivered meals can be arranged via a range of funding options. Fed by Jed are here to help you understand your options.

NDIS funded meals

For those with an NDIS plan, that includes meal services funding, you will be able to cover the majority of the home delivered meal costs through NDIS. If your plan includes Preparation and Delivery of Meals (01_022_0120_1_1) under the Core Supports section, your plan includes home delivered prepared meals. Utilising this means that 70% of each meals cost will be subsidised by NDIS within your plan. The remaining 30% will be co-contributed as an out-of-pocket cost by the participant.

Home Care Packages

Home Care Packages offer older citizens and those recovering from surgery at home with services designed to ease the impact on daily life. For those with a Home Care Package that includes home delivered meals funding can be utilised to pay for the majority of the cost of receiving tasty, ready-to-serve meals. Generally, 70% of the total meal cost is provided by the fund - this covers the meal preparation portion plus delivery, with the remaining 30% privately contributed. Contact your provider to find out what you are entitled to.

Privately funded meals

Privately funded meals are available to anyone who wants to order from the Fed by Jed delivery menu that doesn’t have government funding. While all meals are available to those with NDIS funding or a Home Care Package they are not limited to people with funding plans. Anyone in the local Golden Plains Shire and Geelong region who would like to receive home-made, convenient and ready-made meals is welcome to order from the rotating delivery menu with the cost covered by the customer.

All the meals are freshly cooked and full of flavour. Simply defrost and heat when you are ready to eat. Choose to enjoy main meals from the range at $13 each, try one of our larger sized main meals for $16 and add a $3 soup and/or a $4 dessert.
